A person's “initiatory genaeology”, tracing the line through which their initiator was initiated, then back through hir initiator, and so on. This can also be applied to mean all the “descendants” of a particular person: “The Witches of Jane Doe’s lineage (meaning all those she initiated, and all their initiates, and so on) use a lot of Kabbala in their rites.”
The term is usually used in British Traditional Wicca, but is understood across all branches of Wicca, and through much of Neopaganism and the ceremonial magick community.
