Thor’s Hammer

The Thor’s Hammer as a pendant (left) and as a rock carving.

Stylized rendition of Mjöllnir, the hammer of the Norse God Thor. Its current use as the pre-eminent symbol of Odinist belief and Ásatrú mirrors its use in the Middle Ages and before as a religious talisman.

Use of the Thor’s Hammer should not be taken to mean that its wearer favors Thor over the other Æsir; any more than the name “Odinist” means that its bearer solely worships Odin.
