Counter-clockwise or anti-clockwise. When used in any ritual context, this direction of motion is considered hostile, baneful, banishing, or otherwise negative by many Neopagan traditions; deosil is preferred instead. In contrast, certain LHP traditions (such as most forms of Satanism) prefer widdershins motion instead of deosil.
